Each of the ships will feature the MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line's private "ship within a ship," offering, which includes a spa, dedicated restaurant, and 24-hour butler service. The cruises all depart from Genoa and visit coastal cities in Italy, France, and Spain. Meet up with friends for an aperitif or after dinner cocktail and enjoy the stunning views while you listen to live piano music.

The Horizon pool offers superb sea views and yet more open-air deck space for sun worshipers during the daylight hours. At night, the area will be transformed into a stunning outdoor spot for dancing and all kinds of entertainment under the stars. A big part of that vision starts with the still-under-construction fleet of four similarly designed ships. Each will have 461 guest suites, all with private terraces; nine restaurants; a massive indoor-outdoor spa and fitness facility; four pools, including an indoor one with a retractable roof; and 64 private cabanas for day-long sunbathing sessions. And as always, the award-winning MSC Cruises family offerings feature state-of-the-art facilities for kids with a dedicated area of the ship as well as a range of kids’ clubs and custom programs designed for each age group.
Family Entertainment
MSC Meraviglia is one of the ships that sail to our exclusive Bahamian destination Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. But while Explora shares some seafaring DNA with its sister brand, its new ships will be something entirely above and beyond, the company says. The line is billing the attraction as the only over-water swing ride at sea. MSC Cruises USA President Rubén A. Rodríguez said Cliffhanger is a “natural next step,” following attractions on its other ships like Seascape’s Robotron.
But I do agree with Ungerer when he says there are elements of luxury hotels speckled throughout this ship.
On average, the line comes out without about one new ship a year, though its rollout of ships has been rapid the past few years. MSC Cruises typically keeps vessels in its fleet for around 20 to 25 years before retiring them from the fleet. It can be hard to keep track, as MSC Cruises has been rolling out new cruise ships in quick succession over the past few years. However, it's a good thing to know if you're in the market for an MSC Cruises voyage.
MSC World Europa
From the modern, elegant, and unstuffy design to the deluxe food, I have a feeling we're not in MSC Cruises territory anymore. This is where crystal-infused water in the spa meets a whiskey bar and cigar lounge. A choice of 11 dining venues promises something special for every taste.Just to list a few, discover the new specialty restaurant, Hola! Tacos & Cantina and the new French specialty restaurant, l’Atelier Bistrot.

The vessel will initially sail a four-night Persian Gulf voyage from Doha, Qatar, to Dubai on Dec. 20. The seven-night voyages will feature calls at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Dammam, Saudi Arabia; Doha; and Sir Bani Yas Island. The latter is a beach and wildlife-viewing destination in the UAE that will be exclusive to MSC World Europa passengers during their visit. The line also said the Panorama Lounge would be home to four 90-minute music experiences that offer a mix of live bands, dancers, singers, aerialists and acrobats.
Details about the world's newest cruise line, Explora Journeys, were announced today, promising to take travelers to the far corners of the globe in luxurious style. MSC World Europa will be the first of four sister ships scheduled to debut between 2022 and 2027 that will make up a new class for MSC Cruises called the World class. MSC World Europa will offer 19 different types of cabins, seven of which are new for the line.

Grab a taste of the sun with our delicious soft-serve ice cream, fresh fruit treats frozen drinks and Coladas. The Atmosphere Ice Cream Bar offers a heavenly array of soft ice cream and a wide variety of frozen cocktails, beers, softs, Mojito, long drinks, Coladas, coffee and hot drinks. Located on the prestigious fore decks of the ship is a place where you can enjoy 24-hour personal butler service, designer accommodation and exclusive dining, lounge and pool areas.
Travelers can choose from options like the Baltic capitals, Iceland, Ireland, the Fjords, Greenland, and more. Whether the MSC World Europa is the cruise ship for you depends on so many factors. The design is bold and modern, there’s plenty of things to do and you’ll never go hungry.
Revel in a world of excitement with award-winning activities for the whole family. Delight in a world of flavors with an incredible choice of restaurants and bars featuring globally inspired menus and dive into vibrant city life brimming with exciting choices. There are infinite choices in this ideal spot to join friends for an aperitif before a meal, or for a refreshing drink at any time of day.
"Explora Journeys will bring guests to lesser-traveled harbors to enjoy a more authentic experience and a slower pace of travel," the company says in a statement outlining its itineraries, which start at seven nights. MSC World Europa will also feature a craft beer bar serving brews made on board — a first for MSC Cruises. MSC World Europa will have an adults-only "Zen district" and a separate "family district" that will house 10 new kids facilities. There will also be a central interior promenade called World Galleria complete with entertainment, shops and bars. After its debut, MSC World Europa will fall just behind them in the rankings of the world's largest cruise ships, at No. 6. Not only do the decks boast numerous original works of art, for the first time the hull itself is a visual masterpiece.
She has a real focus on outdoor spaces, including a fantastic Infinity Pool where guests can relax with stunning views. A ship this big is obviously packed with things to see and do, including five pools and a waterpark. She will also be home to the Galleria Euribia, the largest LED dome at sea in the indoor promenade.
She is an almost identical twin of her newer sister ship MSC Seascape, even down to the New York City theming, although her glass sculpture is unique and is named Danza del Mare. The MSC World Europa debuted in 2022 and quickly established herself as one of the most impressive ships currently sailing. MSC Euribia sails a variety of itineraries around Northern Europe and the Med from Southampton, making her one of the biggest ships to call the port home.
There are 13 dining venues on the World Europa, of which six are specialty restaurants that come at an extra charge. The design creates a wonderful event space and lets MSC create many more balcony cabins with a ‘promenade view’. It’s also impossible to miss the dry slide that spirals down 11 decks. And while I typically prefer these more amusement park-at-sea type cruise ships, I can't deny that Explora's newest vessel is the most luxurious and beautifully designed I've been on so far.
To sarisfy any hunger pangs, you can snack on our freshly made hotdogs, a perfect accompaniment to any game. Located in the aft of the ship, The Carousel Lounge offering even stunning panoramic ocean views, allowing you to relax during the day or participate in a range of leisure activities as well as enjoy a variety of live music every evening. There’s something for everyone on board MSC World Europa, from the largest waterpark in our fleet, to bumper cars, and our new surprise street performances. From her sleek interior design to her 13 dining venues to her thrilling entertainment offerings, the onboard experience is like no other cruise ship. Relax in the scenic Panorama Lounge, experience the excitement of the futuristic Luna Park Arena, or lose yourself in the iconic kinetic LED dome in the indoor World Galleria.
Other attractions on the World Europa include a panoramic gym, and a spa and thermal suite. There are nine different categories of stateroom ranging from interior cabins to grand suites. However, there are many other smaller pools, hot tubs and sun decks around the ship so it’s well worth taking the time to discover some of those quieter areas. Home to guest services, the excursion deck, boutiques, several bars and specialty restaurants, the atrium is styled as an upmarket shopping mall. If the next five ships are just as ritzy as the Explora I, I have no doubt this new brand will go on to become a strong competitor in the growing luxury cruise market.
